Why don't you give leads to new agents?
We understand that you want leads. Over the past few years, many agents are turning to third party marketing companies to market for them. This is a double edged sword. Leads can help your business, but they can also hurt it as well.
At Life Sales, we write hundreds of millions of dollars in annuity premium annually. We know how the system works and we are incredibly effective. Agents who take the time to correctly build a business are infinitely more effective, make more money, and have longer life cycles in the business.
By providing you free leads (Leadzilla or Lead Zepplin), which cost me money, I am investing in your business. This makes me a venture capitalist. As a venture capitalist, I want to make sure my investment is a good one. To ensure this, I am asking you to do some simple activities to show me good faith, show me that you are worth investing in, and show me that you will be a good, long term investment.
History has shown us that leads cannot be the only input for gaining new clients. Effective agents have a minimum of three (3) different marketing programs going at all times to receive the 4-10 new clients they need per month to be successful. They are:

Your own marketing (remember people are buying you)

Referrals. Referrals are the only way you make more than $100k per year.

Leads generated by a third party.
History has also shown us that agents, who have not developed the necessary skills, will not succeed no matter how good the lead is. Agents need to develop a certain skill set to be effective. The skill set includes:

Good communication skills on the phone, in writing, and in person.

Good presentation skills on the phone and in person.

Strong work ethic to persevere and to be persistent. Results take time. Even the most successful programs must be done consistently even when they seem not to be working, before they work.

They must demonstrate that they can pass through “wimp junction” and make the telephone calls, ask for the checks, and take a stand for their business.

They must possess product knowledge to the degree that they are consultants, not salespeople.
History has also shown us that successful agents believe in their skills and their business enough to invest their own money into their business. Remember, you are asking me to invest my money in your business, you should be willing to invest in your business as well. Please do not ask me to invest in yours, if you are unwilling to invest in yourself.
